As a member of the pea family, this clover benefits from bacteria in the soil to produce nitrogen that the plant needs.
Suggested Use: Plant multiples for greater impact. Works well in a "wild" meadow area with other native wildflowers such as Blanket Flower, Beebalm, Blue Flax and others.
Tips: This plant is drought tolerant as it has a deep taproot, but can accept summer water.
Attracts: Bees, birds, and butterflies are all fans of the Prairie Clover and will be attracted to the plant. It is a larval host plant for the Dogface and Reakirt's Blue butterflies.
